I’m going to write some short Thursday Thoughts posts looking at an issue affecting web agencies and their clients.

Today’s question is:

“When did you last update your agency blog?”

Hey, I’m not judging at all. I’ve worked in digital agencies and I know what it’s like.

It’s not easy to find the time or in-house expertise to come up with a solid blogging strategy and write regular posts.

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you why a good blog is important for your business, especially with a recession on the horizon.

Here are three questions to ponder:

  1. What do your potential clients think when they see your last blog post was six months or more ago?
  2. Have you ever taken the time to identify your content pillars and build out a blog strategy?
  3. Could you post more on social media if you had regular blog content to repurpose?

When a recession hits, lots of agencies go into survival mode.

You don’t need to follow suit. Come out of it stronger by ramping up your blogging efforts now.
